Visibility to the invisible
4 words explaining perfectly the value of identity designer.
In the darkness of climate crisis, splits in all of the world, sometimes we designer are lost on the way. But even in the darkness, there is always a light.
Last week, an article from Mike Monteiro hit my heart.
Even if you are not designer, I do suggest you to read it. The part which grasped my heart most is below:
The promise of the internet was that it was going to give voice to the voiceless, visibility to the invisible, and power to the powerless. That’s what originally excited me about it.
It’s about the internet, not about design but we can say exactly the same thing to design, don’t we? Today, what do we designer make? What for do we design?
Now it’s the time to stop talking about the style of design. UI? UX? Nothing. Am I little too radical? But it’s really pointless if the designs we create are just for amusing eyes and making people to buy more sh*ts.
Visibility to the invisible.
It will be my motto of design. I will figure the shape of the invisible who shapes the better future.
Thanks,
